There will be all kinds of events held in the indoor and outdoor areas of the main venue.

• A stage event

  

  The outdoor stage will have many events that could be enjoyed by all ages such as choir, gospel, and christmas song concerts, dance shows, and juggling.

• An indoor event

  

  In the indoor pavillion at the 2-chome venue, there will be many events and workshops introducing German culture and Munich, Sapporo´s sister city. Bianca the Sapporo environmental protection advisor will host workshops on making Christmas decorations and mulled wine, and the coordinator for international relations from Germany will hold mini German language lessons.

Celebrating the Christmas Market´s 10th event, we are planning to host joint projects with places outside of the venue and all over the city.

• The 10th Christmas Market Celebration´s City-wide Events

  • The Christmas Market Keyword Scavenger Hunt "Find Santa´s Boot!" Find all the keywords on the Christmas trees scattered around the city and participate in the Christmas raffle at the main venue.
    There are 10 trees in total!
  • Downtown Sapporo´s German Christmas Market Special Menu Fair 30 restaurants in the Sapporo downtown area will be serving special dishes that are only available during the Chirstmas Market period. Stop by and try out food that is served during this limited time!

• Satellite Venue

  • Christmas Marche (market) @ German Christmas Market in Sapporo "Marche Japon" is a vender fair held in 12 different locations around the country that sells products directly from where they are produced.
    The "Sapporo Marche" will also hold a "Christmas Marche" this year.
  • German Christmas Market STREET10 There will be a gallery displaying posters, decorations and venues of the Christmas Market in the past as well as the history of the Christmas Market.

One of the German Christmas Market´s main attractions is being able to visit a wide range of Christmas venders.
Out of all those goods, there are items that you can only buy at this year´s Christmas Market.
The official German Christmas souvenir items include mugs and pin designs that are exclusive to each year, and we have also added new products to our line-up as well.
